| Re: Check Out This Auction For 100 Sands Chips Well, Paypal gives up to $2000 in buyer protection... and I'd have to assume that if he was lying with either of the following statements, you could return them at the seller's expense: 3) These chips are listed in "The Chip Rack" and "The official U.S. Casino Chip Price Guide". 6) The full asking price is less than one third the price listed in "The Chip Rack" (June 5, 2002 edition). Has anyone bothered to go through The Chip Rack (June 2002 edition) to find which Sands chips were listed at > $48 each?
He's got 100% feedback over > 900 sales... that's gotta count for something. I haven't bothered to look at his previous auctions to see if anything else went for > $1000 (mainly because I have absolutely 0 interest in bidding on this). Sands (LV) chips typically go for $20+ on ebay. Unless these are AC $1 chips or something... That would suck! (but then he'd be violating 6) ). Also, you have no sense of condition from his pics.
I'd also be worried that there are 5 Sands chips along the side of the box (shown in one of the pics), and the other 95 chips are junk. Then he'd still be telling the truth (at least partly).

Reason: By Grama's "monkey math", that's $48 per chip!
