ChipTalk.net signed up for an affiliate account at eBay, and auction links are now beneficial to the site. ChipTalk.net now receives a portion of the eBay fees for auctions won by members clicking through from ChipTalk.net.
When the
Classifieds were opened up, we briefly closed the "
Auction Links" forum and directed folks to use the
Classifieds for "off-site sales" and auctions. That worked fine, but it has been increasingly difficult for moderators to manage the reported posts for "owned" auction links vs. informational ones.
Also there was no clear designated forum for informational eBay links, so the "General" forums get more and more posts when they should be avoided when possible.
So we have opened the "Auction Links" forum again. Feel free to use the forum for links to any poker related auctions, including your own, your friend's, or any interesting auctions that you would like to put in front of members.
We will also leave the "
Offsite Sales/Auctions" category active in the Classifieds to allow the tool to provide more exposure for those would like to use it.
