need opinions for my auction problem

OK, so I just sold 2 sets of my old slugged chips on e-bay and I need some opinions as to whether I screwed up. I am personally OK with how it worked out, but wanted to see if anyone thinks I am in the wrong.

Here is the link to my fist auction that ended a week ago.
500 Piece Vegas Classics Clay Composite Poker Chip Set - (eBay item 160169581872 end time Oct-23-07 18:25:57 PDT)

(BTW I was really hoping a CT'er would call me out on the "official casino weight" )

I sent out an invoice right away and never received a response. The problem I have is regarding my offer to customize the set for 50 pieces of a different color at the bottom. I actually had 1300 chips and was going to keep 300 for the kids to mess with and for a small heads up set.
In the meantime, I put up a second 500 piece set with a slightly different setup and basically the same description. Still have not been paid for set one and a local buyer contacts me about a pickup for set 2. I work out a deal where they are going to pick up locally and take all 800 for an extra 10 bucks (I have cardinals and the original michael graves chips for the kids if needed). It is now Thurs and I stil have not been contacted by buyer for set 1, and set 2 and all extras are now being picked up for set 2.

Today, a week after set 1 sold, I get a message with payment asking me to sub 50 blues for 50 white. Well, unfortunately the blues are now gone. Now what?

I responded that while I was awaiting payment from him that another buyer agreed to buy set 2 and all of the extras and I did not have any blues to swap for him. I appologized and said I would ship set as listed on Monday. Should I offer him an opportunity to back out of the auction and relist if necessary or should I just forget about it and ship it.

thanks,
sunderB

Re: need opinions for my auction problem

Look, take this anyway that you like but: the chips are not official weight - not casino material - not professional by any measure. I'm sorry, but if we can't count on Cters being honest on ebay then what's the point. I know this isn't what you wanted to read but there's too much "fudging" of the truth on ebay. The people of this forum should be showing the way for others. Sorry for the "soapbox" but that's how I feel.

IMHBAO, yeah. He'll probably still take them.

Absolutely. Especially when the shipping cost is more than the value of the item. I'm not sure what the buyer did wrong here. The auction ended on 10/23, so it hasn't even been a week.
