Re: Huge Lot of Paulson Vineyards

Seller quoted,

**There must have been 2 dye lots for the $1 chip, becuase as you can see in the picture, there is a distinct color shift on the $1 chip. 250 of the $1 chips are of the darker blue, and 150 are the lighter blue.***

LOL, I think he really doesn't know his chips. 150 is UNC and the 250 is used unsure of the condition. But I want his $10 and $25 though.

That is insanly overpriced for a set of mostly just 1$ chips.

Re: Huge Lot of Paulson Vineyards

OK let me break this down....you are looking at about $2K (given his chips condition) what I have seen in the market in the past 8 months. Of course, today and tomorrow it could change depend on demand and supply. These chips is like stock market shiz it could move up or down in half a day. If no one wants it maybe some of us should ask for $1K offer. Now that will be a bargain.

$1800 is a good deal but not $2500. Good luck who ever bidding for it.

150 $1 UNC ($3) $150
250 $1 chips (Great condition)($2) $500
110 $2 chips Some Use ($2.50-$3) $330
50 $3 chips Some Use ($2.5-$3) $130
50 $5 chips Some Use ($2-$2.5) $120
25 $10 chips Some Use ($25-$30 UNC) $450-$500
40 $20 chips Mint {$6-$8} $210
30 $25 chips Mint ($20-$25) $600-$750
20 $100 chips (4 spot) Mint ($6) $120
10 $100 chips (8 spot) Mint {$6-$8} $80

I saw this too and was wondering if he listed them thinking no one would seriously bid on them....

Re: Huge Lot of Paulson Vineyards

Sorry for jacking and if this is already answered somewhere but ...

What's up with that two different $1 colors? Are there two versions of $1 Vineyards with deliberately different colors or is this actually supposed to be the same color?

Lighter blue = UNC, darker blue = used condition.

$1800 is a good deal but not $2500. Good luck who ever bidding for it.

150 $1 UNC ($3) $150
250 $1 chips (Great condition)($2) $500
110 $2 chips Some Use ($2.50-$3) $330
50 $3 chips Some Use ($2.5-$3) $130
50 $5 chips Some Use ($2-$2.5) $120
25 $10 chips Some Use ($25-$30 UNC) $450-$500
40 $20 chips Mint {$6-$8} $210
30 $25 chips Mint ($20-$25) $600-$750
20 $100 chips (4 spot) Mint ($6) $120
10 $100 chips (8 spot) Mint {$6-$8} $80
I follow these pretty closely too and I was actually talking to the overseas buyer that the seller mentions in the Q&A. He wanted me to buy the set and send it over to him because the seller did not want to sell to an overseas buyer. I thought $2500 was pretty fair.

I guess all this doesn't matter because it now says that bidding has ended so I am not sure who got them, but I guess it won't be me.

I think No Fears assessment is accurate for most of the chips but he has made a big mistake on the 150 x UNC $1's and in addition to that he has added them up incorrectly. Using his numbers (even the low ones) his total is over $2500 so I am not sure what he is thinking there. Anyway, I have put a range down for what I think on each one as I think that is a better way to do this. that puts $2500 as a relatively fair price. I actually think that $2500 is not such a bad deal. It's not the deal of a lifetime or anything, but it's not bad. Here is my breakdown:

150 $1 UNC ($2.50-$3) = $375-$450
250 $1 chips (Great condition)($1.50-$2) = $375-$500
110 $2 chips Some Use ($2.50-$3) = $275-$330
50 $3 chips Some Use ($2.5-$3) = $125-$150
50 $5 chips Some Use ($2-$2.5) = $100-$125
25 $10 chips Some Use ($20-$30 UNC) = $500-$750
40 $20 chips Mint {$5-$6} = $200-$240
30 $25 chips Mint ($15-$25) = $450-$750
20 $100 chips (4 spot) Mint ($6-$7) = $120-$140
10 $100 chips (8 spot) Mint {$7-$8} = $70-$80

That puts the totals at: $2590-$3515
