I tried to send a question to a seller about shiping when I was asked to leave my CC-number. As I understand it, no CC-number no question forwarded to the seller.

Is this a new E-bay policy???
Not that I am aware of. I am guessing you were on a phishing/scam site and not ebay.

you were probably sent an e-mail about a product that you recently looked at. that e-mail was sent from a scam site. so in order for you to send a question you would need to log in to your account. you probably did that. so 1st thing i would do right away. (don't even finish reading this) is go and change your password.... then come back here and keep on posting.. ok. so when you loged in to your account via the scam site. you didn't really log in. you just keyed in your user name and password for them to see on their site. i know its a scam because when ever i get an e-mail like that. i put my user id as joeblow and my password as blowme. it always "logs me in" as if thats my user name and password. so anyhow. once you are "loged in" they require you to update your profile and that's where they get you. you think you loged in legit. and you need to update your profile. now most users have a sellers account and there for need to have a credit card to do so. so they take the risk of assuming you are a seller as well and that you do have your credit card on there. when ever i need to do something on e-bay via another page or a link or an e-mail i close that page up and i go directly to e-bay's site via www.ebay.com and log in from there. there are so many smart scammers out ther right now its not even funny. you really need to be carefull. i hope that by now you have changed your password already. to make sure you did you can send it to me in a PM.. lol.. (woohoo.. did my scam work?) lol.. i am just kidding. don't be sending me no passwords.

Password changed but CC-number is still required to ask seller a question.
Of course I have not left my CC-number but it really bugs me since I want to ask this question.
Can it has to do with the fact that the auction I am interested in does not ship to Sweden. (Yes that is my question).
I have asked this question several times before though and never had to left any CC-number.
try to see if someone on eBay's live help can answer your question. it does like you were on a phishing site. make sure not to follow a hyperlink, just type in www.ebay.com manually.
