Re: Binions Horseshoe?

Any auction with keywords "rare, new, binon's, and paulson" is likely junk.

rare, binion's, paulson, is OK, but rare, new, paulson is a tough sell.

Re: Binions Horseshoe?

Somebody who already has this set posted the auction link over on the chip board:

http://www.thechipboard.com/cgi-bin/...pl/read/637002

I don't know anything about the chips but the poster on the chip board is a big contributor over there so I'm guessing he does.

Re: Binions Horseshoe?

i have heard of this chips before. i think they are plastic comp chips. and they are not done to well. rough edges and what not. they were made to sell at the gift shop and didn't do to well so they were taken off the shelf and i guess ended up on a liquidation sale. if i am not mistaken they were offerd to me at one point about a year ago or so. i didn't see a picture then so i can't really say for sure that this were the ones. but the case discription is the same. who knows. anyhow. if its what you want. then buy it. you can't go wrong for $200. worse comes to worse you relist it and sell it back. even if you loose a couple of dollars on it. no big deal. good luck with it.

Re: Binions Horseshoe?

I used to have a set of these. I got them at the Horseshoe giftshop right before they closed and became Binions. I paid $250 if i remember correctly. I sold them a few years ago. The chips were junk. They wouldnt stack at all. The case is REAL NICE! I wish i never sold them just because of the case. Also, they did sell out at the gift shop. When i got mine, they had only 2 boxes left at the time.

I posted on here about a year ago about this set:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/chip-c...ollection.html

Unfortunately, the chips are not the best quality. I wish they would have gone with something like Chipco or Paulson. Especially, considering this was the only home chip set they put out in 50+ years. Even if it cost a lot more I don't think they would have had a problem selling it.

Original price was $299 plus tax if you lived in NV (if you had it shipped out of state you saved on the tax buy you paid about $30 in shipping). They sold out very quickly.
