$4000 starting bid for these eBay chips

Are these chips worth this price?

This set has popped up a few times in the past on eBay at prices like the current list. I do not know anything about these chips but i do not think that they have ever sold via eBay.
I would love to know more about them.

They are real chips from a casino that close in Vegas in 1982. Bok value of the chips in the condition that they are in would probably top out at $3000. I would guess maybe even a little lower.

I lik ethe Silverbird chips the $20 is pretty sweet...none in this set though.

I keep looking to pick one up.

Campaglia's Chip Price Guide, however, warns of counterfeit versions of those chips; the BJ-2s were non-incused and were the counterfeits. The price guide also would give a lower value for those used chips (starting at around $1800). So I'd be wary of any purchase if I were at all interested in those chips.
