Whenever I see an auction like this it makes me wonder who's going to buy it. I'm pretty sure celebrities home games have chips like this. They see it on EBAY and think why not, it's so cheap. epecially if it's like $3.60 a chip.
I was going to buy them for $1400 shipped (I told him to send me an invoice), then he says all of a sudden someone else is going to buy them? Guess that person wasn't too serious, and I wasn't either after the fact.

Relatively speaking this set is a bargain. Yes, it price is steep and well beyond my means but you can't find these uncirculated and in that quantity for that price anywhere. I just checked Spinettis and if you buy the same breakdown you would pay $2412 and that's using the 21ace 10% discount. Plus, they don't even have the regular $5 anymore so you would have to go with the baccarat for the $5 or pay even more to have a whole matching baccarat set with the same denoms. I suppose one could wait and hope another set like this comes along for, less but if I had the money....
BTW I don't know Lorenzo and have no interest in the sale, although maybe I should. What about it Lorenzo, maybe a chip or two may way if I helped you sell the set ?
