| Re: Strangest looking table I have ever seen... Hey, I'm going to stick up for this guy. He had some good ideas. For example, it seems he was going for an alternative to a racetrack, where each player gets their own real-estate for shuffling their chips, etc. (I like the look of a racetrack but would be afraid the wood would get scuffed and prefer to shuffle my chips close to the rail on felt).
I originally thought the ash trays were cup holders, and I'm sure they could be retrofit into cup holders, so that's not a problem. And there's lots of room on the corners to put food (which wouldn't be allowed on most people's poker tables).
Of course, there are several flaws (someone noted you can't push your chips in). Also, it only has room for 6 players... and comes with 4 chairs...
Oh yeah, and it's kind of ugly... but I can appreciate what he was going for.
*EDIT* I just noticed that there ARE already brass cup holders... Okay, hopefully those ash trays are just sitting there and can be removed. This table would probably be best if all of the poker-related parts could be lifted off so it can still be used as a diningroom table! |
