Chips: 4,648 | | | Premiere Props scam? I have seen the same unique items come up months later.
And I am not counting the poker chips.
Anyone following these items will recognise the all A's deck and the wood chip holder.
Also saw the same clothing worn by cast members and the $10,000 check in the live auctions that sold on the regular auctions.

Someone has to be making money off this stuff, it doesnt all go to charity...somebody has an overhead to move this stuff and sell it, and someone makes a living being the in-between from movie set, to auction, to charitable donations....The money going to charity is "100% of OUR portion of the proceeds" implying whatever PORTION of money they (Walt Disney/max family foundation/whoever) recieved for this item goes to charity.
My guess is that someone buys out certain inventory of props from production companies, who in turn donate that money recieved for the sale of these props to charities through their foundation....Person who bought out the props (premiereprops) then sells them on ebay for whatever they sell for.
This is all of course shabby reasoning and guess work on my part...I have no idea, but I dont think it would be far fetched.
The other side is people working directly for the organization sits around and organizes, moves and stores said props somewhere, posts auctions for them on ebay, and then handles the delivery of the items and not to mention the time to field questions to the ebay account etc....then after all the overhead involved here, all leftover proceeds go to charity.
Ok, I officially took too much time looking into this, and with this post |

2 decks of all A's cards? | Generally, there are multiple props for the same shot. Someone would say, get me a gun. Then the prop guy shows up with 4 or 5 of them. Of course one or two get shown on screen. The rest just sit.

Chips: 441 | | | Re: Premiere Props scam? I bought some Teddy KGB's from Premiere Props - it took me 2 months to get them, and 3 of the chips did not have inlays.
It has now been over a month since I paid for my last auction (Chesterfields) and they still haven't posted them.
Postage is very expensive, customer service is non existent - I'd say give them a miss whether they are "real" props or not. |

They only ship by FedEx and between their shipping cost ($49) and the additional $ FedEx charged me for customs brokering (13), I paid $62 to get a $18 crew t-shirt from Rounders. It is in their fine print and they will not deviate from that policy.
I won't even get into the severe thrashing I took on duty and taxes I paid on a small shipment of chips I ordered.
It takes days and days for them to get back to you but so far I haven't been unlucky with the quality of the items. Did they replace the defective chips on tilt?

Chips: 441 | | | Re: Premiere Props scam? No, they will not replace and claim they have no more Rounder's chips left. After many, many, many enails and threats to lodge offical disputes with ebay, paypal and my credit card company they have offered a refund if I return the chips to them. If I could be guaranteed a quick painless refund upon return I would do it in a second, but given all the dramas I have been through with them I just don't trust sending them the chips on trust they will refund my money. I think I will just cut my losses, give them some negative feedback, and forget about the whole thing.
I too had a similar experience with shipping. They charge you top dollar for FedEx Priority, yet take a month the ship after you pay them. Nothing else is acceptable to them and you end up paying a lot more than originally thought.
As I am going on holidays tomorrow I am going o lodge a formal complaint about the Chesterfields I have not received.
So beware guys. I am confident the props are the real deal, but not worth the hassle. |

Chips: 4,648 | | | Re: Premiere Props scam? I also had problems with them.
First they would not combine 2 sets of chips and charged me $12.00 ea for 5 chips.
Second time I bought artwork and set of chips and they sent invoice for $24.00 which I paid then tried so charge me another $30.00 extra for shipping about a 20"x10" picture and 5 chips.
I called them and argued with them for 2 days and had to prove they sent me an invoice for the previous amount before they waived the extra $30.
I could have shipped all the above for about 5 or 6 dollars.
And don't forget it takes over a month to get these items. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
