Theses auctions seemed interesting. I recall the original seller tried to sell his lot of 10,000 chips for $25,000 and no one bid on it last year. I saw some guy trying to sell these individually for approximately $5, $10, $20 for the $5 Chip, $25 chip and $100 chip respectively. I thought they were average chips at best... $1 each. But these auctions are showing otherwise...
I think someone might of gotten ripped off on these price-wise, from someone else and wants to recoup or something...because I too have seen these from a seller (or multiples) for way more money then I think they are worth...They arent even that attractive of chips (my opinion) and it seemed like for a period of time they were trying to create an artificial market on these, simliar to the vineyards....who knows but that one guy wanted way too much for that big auction I remember.
