Yeah... I saw that... Still couldnt figure out why it was fetching that much... Weird... Where is G.O. when you need him. Maybe he can shed some light on this chip.
The funny thing is, sequentially numbered sets of three of these chips (which this is of course neither numbered nor three) go for $42 on most reputable dealer sites.
If it was anything like this past years Rio chips, it was only available at the cage and in very small quantities at that. So they were snatched up by dealers/collectors. Not many in the stream of commerce, thus the price hike.

Andy Hughes has the non-matching numbered 2006 set still available at his site (nevadacasinochips) for $40.
Auction over... $76 was the final bid... Crazy!! I just dont think that LTD 500 is worth anywhere close to that money. Goes to show you that some people have more money then they have sense...
