Re: Did I screw up yesterday?

Maybe. Looks like he pulled it. Don't take it too hard. . . . It could have been any of us.

Re: Did I screw up yesterday?

I was looking at those too. Pretty cool. It was only a 1 day auction that started very early in the A.M.

Re: Did I screw up yesterday?

I suspect a collector got to him with an offer and he pulled the auction. The Zieglers alone are probably worth more than the "buy-it now" price to a California cardroom collector.

you think a collector e-mailed him and got him to pull the auction?

no....

someone probably spooked him with comments and he realized he was about to get ripped off.

you should've just used Buy-it-now and chopped the lot for a big profit.

Re: Did I screw up yesterday?

CJ = Christy & Jones, they owned the tophat & cane mold prior to Paul-Son.

Paul = Paul Endy, founder of Paul-Son

I would've definitely bought this lot, no questions asked if I had come across the lot. I would expect him to do some investigative work and relist this stuff with a much bigger price tag.

The reason for the auction being pulled I'd have to say would be the result of too much information coming his way. It probably overwhelmed him and he pulled it.

It happens, though, don't sweat it.

Re: Did I screw up yesterday?

It wasn't pulled, it was only a 1 day auction and it ended with no bids.
