Re: Pee diddly winkle's cards?

Hmm, its both exclusive AND unique! One would think it would have to be exclusive if it were unique, but what do I know about sales techniques?

Re: Pee diddly winkle's cards?

I had a set of gold Nolan Ryan cards once. No more than a novelty. No trade value at all that I can remember.

What?!

Anyways, these cards would make, and I quote "A valuable first price for every card tournament." Yeah, and what would be the price if these were the first prize of every card tournament. Who writes this stuff?

[edit] And besides, i'm betting they wont even work with my automatic card shuffler.

I’m sure it must be exclusive. An original duplicate of a genuine copy. Unique in every way.

Re: Pee diddly winkle's cards?

I thought this was interesting

Best guess...the description is 100% accurate...they used gold INK to print them

ALL SALES FINAL - Thank you-satisfaction guaranteed!

Hmmm... I question what they're REALLY made of. For one, what are the graphics (pips, etc.) made of? Obviously not gold, which means that each card can't really be 99.99% gold (unless they're engraved... hard to tell in the pictures). And second, they look like they're about as thick as a standard deck of cards, which means (1) it must weigh nearly 4 kg (nearly 10 lbs.) and (2) the cards would easily bend, scratch, and stretch (given the physical properties of pure gold), and would likely stick together (unless coated in a polymer or something)... they'd get damaged just setting them up for those pictures. ... and it's just not reasonable for these to be made of gold... I mean, really...

Also, I like the "ALL SALES FINAL - ... SATISFACTION GUARANTEED"...

Uh huh...

Re: Pee diddly winkle's cards?

well, I asked him about the cards:

I asked him:

Quote:
Are these actually totally made of gold, or are they printed in gold? How heavy are they? Are they actually usable as cards?
here's the response:
Quote:

Yes, they are made of gold, you can actually play with them, they are not heavy.

it's GOT to be a scam of some sort...because as a previous poster said, they WOULD be heavy if they were pure gold as the auction implies

Re: Pee diddly winkle's cards?

*lol*

I asked him:

Quote:
I guess my real question is this:

Are these completely 24k gold, or is there another material also in them? cards that size made out of pure gold would be fairly heavy I'd think.
he responded:
Quote:

Your guess is correct, if they would be solid gold they would probably run over a million dollars. Yes they are unique and neat! Good Luck

So it's not really gold as he implies
