Re: Ebay 500 set of Medium Range chips

well when a clay chip is broke like that one is, one would think the clay on the inside should match the clay on the outside. If you take a paulson chip and crack it or just cut into it the clay is the same color so i would say they are cheap.

Re: Ebay 500 set of Medium Range chips

The center of that broken chip looks strikingly similar to a chip with an insert (metal or otherwise)....

Re: Ebay 500 set of Medium Range chips

From magnus Andersson Poker Supplies:

Quote:
Clay is a delicate and brittle material, and chips made entirely from clay have almost completely gone out of production these days since such chips break far too easily. Our clay chips have a core of clay that is encapsuled inside a thin protective hull of composite material (see picture to the left). For further details on clay and composite materials please visit our FAQ page.

Re: Ebay 500 set of Medium Range chips

yeah i wasnt really interested in buying them since ive got my new custom WSOP chips coming from Matt's GB. I cant wait. I was more curious what you guys thought about the "clay". Usually when I see a chip like that with that I think composite.

I don't care for them - just too busy. I think you could do much better.
