"Personalized" Paulsons

If you see the following series of auctions, and your name is Ron (like me), are you compelled to take a run at them even though the color/denom chices are goofy?

Those colours are definitely unorthodox, but if the price stays low (< $1 / chip on average), I'd probably go for them (if my name was Ron, of course). I mean, how many people can say they have Paulsons with their name hotstamped on one side?

Re: "Personalized" Paulsons

I'd probably pay upwards of $1 per chip for Paulsons with my name hotstamped on them. Just as a collector's item though, I wouldn't use them in a game, especially with that denom and only 41 of them.

Um, I think you might have missed the other links. There are:

41 x $1
100 x $5
100 x $25
50 x $100

I guess it would be nice if there were more $1s, but there are enough others for a T1000 tourney for 6 players (including colouring up the $5s and most $25s and/or rebuys):

15 x $5
13 x $25
6 x $100

I guess you could have a T500 tourney for 8 players starting with $2/$5 blinds and (each):

5 x $1
9 x $5
10 x $25
2 x $100

but SB might have to keep getting change from other players. With 4 players, you could basically double the number of chips above but omit the $100s for a T500:

10 x $1
18 x $5
16 x $25 (or 12 x $25 with 1 x $100, etc.)

Why does it have to be legal? If you believe it - then it is. Just convince yourself that youy name is Ron - tell your poker buddies your name is now Ron - if they forget, just look at the chips......then -presto- your name is Ron.

It worked for Michael Vick......kind of.

Incidentally there are two auctions for 25s; so one could get 200 of the $25s. This WOULD go pretty good in combination with the Kems I stumbled on last year that had my initials on them (RC). I got two of those.

There are probably not many people who would be able to play a home game with personailezed Kems and Paulsons. Well, maybe Steve Wynn and Donald Trump, but that would be cheating.

I hate eBay. But then again, no one is forcing me to do searches for this stuff.
