Now, I don't know what that chip is worth, ie if thats a fair price but still, my points would be valid for any high dollar item.

It says 'insurance not offered', so you could argue that this is a default setting and doesn't apply here. It blows me away that someone can sell something for over twenty-grand and is too tight to offer free shipping. If they seriously think that someone would pay $20k and be comfortable with no insurance, they're some of the dumbest people to ever operate on eBay and that's saying something. They do have 99.6% feedback with 1100 transactions.
I'm going to send the seller a question and ask about this item. I'll post an update, if I hear from them. |

BUYER TO INCLUDE $39.25 FOR USPS REGISTERED INSURED SHIPPING
I love the chip holder's foam surround. It looks like it's built to withstand an earthquake! |

I sent this guy an e-mail saying I represented a team of investors who purchase many items like this. It was just bs to get information. I asked if escrow or an in-person buy was possible. Here's his reply:
"A team of investors? Must be a Minor League Team of 220 on the Roaster with 10 bucks each. You can pay for Registered Insured USPS shipping. No I will not use an escrow service. If you have no idea who I am and the feedback's I have, go play in a different league. Thanks for the question"
So I guess if you can't spend $20,000 on a poker chip by yourself, you don't deserve to live apparently. What a jerk. I love that he's such a rock star, yet he's too stupid to actually list the auction properly. He listed a $20k item, but was too sloppy & unprofessional to list actual shipping charges until I inquired about this. $3.25 is not gonna cut it for a $20k item. I'd like to know what this is actually worth, though. |

He's got other expensive chips listed too. |

When ever I buy something from EBay I always email the seller first and if I get a reply like that one I would keep on looking. You have to have something pretty nice to make me deal with a jerk. |

Most of the time you will find someone pretty quickly who knows the person. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
