Party Poker chips on Ebay

Well, I'm sure posting here will eliminate my chances of getting these (if they are any good), however, I've just kind of managed to catch the chip bug. I was trying to find photos of the party store chips and came across these.

If anyone knows about them and is willing to share an opinion, please feel free. I typically don't buy off of ebay from new users either which makes me even more hesitant that this person might not be legit or have a clue about what the item really is.

Re: Party Poker chips on Ebay

They are cheap, metal slugged, plastic chips. I would highly suggest another route. There are other cheaper products out there for you to look at. I highly suggest getting samples.

**Not to mention the seller has 0 feedback.**

Re: Party Poker chips on Ebay

They are basically these, so I wouldn't bid over about $0.12 each

Re: Party Poker chips on Ebay

Wait, I new I’d seen those before. You can strip off the labels and do this: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...ravel-set.html

But seriously, these are very much a low end “cheap chip” set. They worked out for my travel set because they were free (I only paid for labels)

Re: Party Poker chips on Ebay

Thanks for the info guys. As I said I'm just starting out and definitely got more interested in poker chips thanks to the silly PSO offer. Got 2 sets of 300. Trying to get a tiki set of ecasinodeals.

It's going to be my mini-obsession for at least the next couple of months until I manage to fill out a decent cash game and tournament sets. Plus probably pick up a bunch of samples. Finding this website will prove to be pure evil.

Absolutely, GET SAMPLES of everything you are considering. And we’re not really evil, just a bit twisted.

Welcome to the forum BTW. This site rocks

Heh, welcome to the site. Be sure and check this post in about a year after you've sunk a couple grand in chips and have 2 sets of customs under production.

I thought I was only required to have ONE new idea in production at any given time.

Re: Party Poker chips on Ebay

I don't know if anyone watched the Mansion.net Pro-Am thing that was on Fox Sports a couple of weeks ago, but they were using labeled chips exactly like these Party poker chips. I kept thinking from the sound and the stacking that they must be cheap plastics with a label, but when they would show a close up I could see some sort of texture on the surface of the label or inlay. I see it again on the Party chips.

So anyone know what is the deal with that? Are these companies just paying to put an expensive labeled inlay on some 7cent chips or what?
