Chips: 356 | | | Re: Special Offer - Earn ChipTalk Chips by linking to ChipTalk.net from your auction I have 14 current auctions linked to Chiptalk via a review of Harlequin's Matsui Plaques. I also had 4 previous auctions with the same link to Chiptalk. How about floating me some chiptalk chips. By the way Ebay didn't pull any of the previous auctions. |

I have about 10 PMs in for various eBay auctions over the past 8 weeks. Are you still issuing points for auctions with links to chiptalk or do I need to PM someone else? Thanks and hope things are well |

Thanks and hope things are well | I have two pm's from yesterday that I have not seen a response to yet. Not that it has been very long for me, but last time I pm'd it was pretty much instantaneous, so I am just hoping everything is alright and wondering if you are still offering this.
Thanks for offering this in the first place Greg! |

Thanks and hope things are well | Yes Ding, I have to get caught up on those. You're the most prolific user of this offer, sorry to take long between payments. (and thanks for the links) |

Chips: 46 | | | Re: Special Offer - Earn ChipTalk Chips by linking to ChipTalk.net from your auction This type of posting can not only get your auction pulled (with no refund) but also get you banned or suspended by e-bay - I would say it is a bad idea to encourage doing this when it is clearly against the TOS.
Once it gets known...all the moderators have to do is a search for "chiptalk.net" and find all of the users in one fell swoop. |

Here are the linking rules straight from eBay, and it seems to me that the first and third options match up with what the offer here is: Permitted links include:- One link to a page that further describes the item being sold in that listing
- One link to your email address that opens an email client for potential buyers to ask questions about the item in that listing
- Links to photos of the item for sale
- Links to your eBay Store or Half.com listings
- Links to your Store newsletter and mailing list names are permitted, provided that your inclusion of the mailing list names does not constitute keyword spamming or violate any other eBay policy
- Links to your “Add to My Favorite Sellers and Stores” page
- Links to your About Me page (in addition to the About Me icon already provided by eBay)
- Links to your eBay Blog page
- Links to your eBay My World page
- Links that provide credits to third parties
- One link to your listing terms and conditions (providing that the most relevant information is within the listing itself and that this page does not include any links off of the eBay Web site)
- Embedded video in a listing provided it complies with the following requirements:
- The video must conform to all eBay policies, including but not limited to:
- The seller must be the owner of the underlying rights, including intellectual property rights, or authorized to distribute it by the owners of such rights.
- The video may not solicit unsafe payment methods such as Western Union.
- The video may not include software that harms or interferes with the viewer’s machine (for example, a virus or spyware), uses it for malicious or unauthorized purposes, or violates the buyer’s privacy.
- The video must deliver the content in flash animation format and be hosted by a site that takes strong measures to provide safe content. In an attempt to safeguard eBay members, based on current technologies and current eBay marketplace requirements, sellers may only embed video from:
Also, I had an auction canceled a month or so ago because I said Paulson in the title and then forgot to put in the description that the winner would receive a free Paulson chip as well. In that auction I had my links to chiptalk.net, and they said nothing about the links and I even contacted them about why my auction was pulled. Obviously they read my entire auction description, and it wasn't a problem. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
