I believe the price is a bit high. You can put that set together at Spinetti's for $2,290 and that's with uncirculated $5s, $25s, and $100s. Factor in a discount for used chips (which it sounds like the ones in the auction are--mint but used) and you can probably save a couple hundred bucks more.
Nice chips, but a bit on the spendy side considering you can get the same setup with mostly uncirculated chips from a retailer.

Yeah but it's Ebay, not CT and some people won't have a clue and he might get some action and good advertising if nothing else. At that price range it wouldn't make sense to sell them for any less.
I'm not knocking the seller's pricing on Ebay. I'm all for folks selling their items for the best price. In his place I would do the same thing. I was just providing my input on the price for CT members who might be considering a purchase.
JM, if you're figuring the pricing based on the listed per chip price on the Web site, you would indeed come up with a higher figure. However, if you call Spinettis for bulk pricing on a set of Dunes chips, the price should be significantly lower. I base this info on my own relatively recent (last six months) experience with considering a purchase of my own Dunes set. My apologies if the bulk pricing is no longer in place.
