Is this legit - actual prop chip from Licence to Kill

I found this on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LICENCE-TO-KI...QQcmdZViewItem

Need I say - most definitely not my auction.

It claims to be an actual genuine prop chip from the James Bond: Licence to Kill 1998 movie. I thought the prop chips looked quite a bit different from the Paulsons we are familiar with.

For a 175 pound sterling it would want to be the real deal. Does anyone know if it is legit or not?

Cool Re: Is this legit - actual prop chip from Licence to Kill

If you go to the CCGTCC web site under Eduction and then go to the fakes and fantasy section you can find the original movie props and the 1998 fastasy chips and decide for your self.

http://www.ccgtcc.com/fantasy/casinodeisthmus.htm

I don't think the picture on Ebay is an original movie prop but decide for yourself.

Re: Is this legit - actual prop chip from Licence to Kill

Thanks for the links guys. Looks pretty clear to me it is not a genuine prop from the movie.

Re: Is this legit - actual prop chip from Licence to Kill

Looks to me like they are primarily an autograph dealer and don't know a prop chip from a remake. I'd cut them some slack, but point them at the cctgcc web site to educate them some about what they are attempting to sell.

Later,
B

Re: Is this legit - actual prop chip from Licence to Kill

All of the original chips from the movie were sold back to P-son, then they were sold as retail chips to customers. The chips were then remade and remade and remade again many times over to be sold in the retail store. It is extremely difficult to pin down the original chips unless a person took the chips from the set and can verify it.

Being the sale is from England, you never know if someone lifted it off the set. Ask them for proof of authenticity.

Re: Is this legit - actual prop chip from Licence to Kill

it has to be fake. no one will pay 400+ usd for that chip. there are other offical bond movie prop chips that are legit for half the price sold on movie prop sites.

if it was from casino royal, then i would say it would be worth it. but not LTK.
