saw this auction (not mine) and thought it was interesting. tells of the history of the casino and what it is now, all of which i knew nothing of. nice chips too, i wouldn't mind having a tourney set of these, but there's not enough large denoms for me.
I reported that listing a while back. It's deceptive and needs to be changed. He lists Paulson in the title and proceeds to describe the chips as Paulson's throughout the listing. And then he quietly drops the bomb that they are not Paulson's but Blue Chip. I love this segment:
"This commemortative chip set was designed to with the same authentic clay composition, coloring and edge spots as orginally specified by Paulson. These 9 gram chips are absolutely beautiful, having a 39 mm diameter, and come from a shell mold for consistancy, giving them the same professional quality, sound and feel of the orginal Vineyard Casino chips."
I just found the whole listing to be deceptive. The title needs to heve Paulson removed.
yeah, it is pretty iffy. it does clearly state that they're BC's and not the original paulsons, but not until you get to the end. still informative about the actual casino though.
I wrote and asked why he was using the Paulson name when they were Blue Chip and he changed it somewhat. Definetly needs to quit emphasizing the Paulson name. Still not a bad price for the Commemoratives.
