Just wanted to let you guys know that this auction is for the Blue Chip James Bonds chips that are shown in the case. The picture in the gallery (Paulson 2005 JB's) are not included it his auction.
I sent him a message asking what chips are for auction and let him know that those are chips from two different companies (BC and Paulson) and he responded by saying "the ones in the case are what you are getting." He still did not change the picture or the description as he states that these are Paulson Chips eventhough he is selling the Blue Chips.
I'm the current lone bidder (at least as of this morning). I noticed the same thing and I am bidding on them with the knowledge that they are in fact the Blue Chips. I agree that his auction is misleading. I figured it out and decided I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he just didn't know the difference. It's kind of messed up when someone tells him and he blows it off.
i think it's unaccepatable for a seller with an 897 rating to leave the auction misleading after finding out the truth on it (assuming that they didnt realize the difference). i can't imagine that a seller with that many sales could actually not notice the difference between the two though.
All his other current auctions are for 1/32 scale slot cars (which I also have - dang, they're priced good too). I suppose it's possible that he's more of a slot car dude. Those chips may be his personal set. Maybe he was duped when he bought them, and he is just listing what he thought he bought? He may not have the time or inclination to dig too deep into something he doesn't know much about and prefers to stay in denial.
Wow, did I write that? I'm usually far more cynical.
i thought that at first too, but the fact that he responded to the question by saying " you are getting the ones in the case" shows that he know the picture of the paulsons is of different chips.
even so, if you can score 600 BCs for a litlle over $100, fine job!
No doubt, but I'm sure this will finish higher than that.
By the way stank, I play a lot of free rolls here in SE PA. Many Steeler fans. I've been cluing them into your World Champ auctions. Even posted one on the freeroll company's message board. If only I was a Steeler fan....
