Shipping under 3bucks is tough unless your a dealer and you buy shipping supplys at a discount.

When i bought the Year of the * chips from ebay, i offered CT members to buy the chips, and alot of people didn't care for the 3.00 shipping. but First class no ins alone is .75-1.50 then if you buy a bubble letter is about a dollar, thats nearly 3 bucks. But i just hate shipping Rare items w/o ins or tracking. even if the other party doesnt care.

Actually, he's a good guy. I've had a couple of dealings with him. Some people are offering $6/chip for these so if they pick it up for $2, its a good deal (for them) even with the shipping.

The chip is worth about 5-6$ each i agree , and at the buck store you get 3 bubble wrap envelopes for a 1$. I guess it's OK.

Re: Check out the price for shipping, crazy

A single chips is a minimum of $2 and $3 isn't that bad, supplies, travel and time come into play as well. these guys are making money not doing favors, you've just got to remember that. Whenever I buy a single chip I expect to pay anywhere from $2-4 shipping. And when I sell on ebay I'll charge 2.50 or more, you've got to remember they're also paying e-bay to list it as well as paying paypal too.

Yeah, selling one to three chips on ebay is a real pain and not very profitable IF EVER. I'm probably going to stop trying to sell them one at a time unless it's the super expensive ones just because it's so time consuming and literally no profit.
Then you get someone who says they didn't get their chip and boom.
Worse yet, when you lose an entire shipment, have no insurance, yet paypal refunds the buyer their money anyway....One busted sale like this and you could be out of an entire year of marginal profit. I've got two Vineyard and Palmas shipments now to the UK lost in the mail worth over $1,000 and I'm looking at the short end of this problem as usual.
