They are rare, but man oh man.

Lovely chips mind. Wish ASM would just sell 'em as fanstasy chips.

My credit card would melt if they did. Maybe if we take a road trip to Maine and wave wads of cash at Jim he will change his mind.

Re: $100/chip

i have two of these chips (1x$100 and 1x$5) and they really are just excellent chips. classic, clean design, completely mint.

too rich for me though. CT member Mofo has a set of these that look awesome - he posted pics a while back.

Yeah my credit card would also melt not to mention my wife when she found out that I bought these. This would be a great set. Only if ASM made them or just let us make more than 1 edgespot choice, but I dont ever see that happening.

Re: $100/chip

A year or two ago I had a chance to buy a set of Palmas at $1.42/chip. Still don't know if I did the right thing to pass.

They are stunningly beautiful. As said above, simple, clean, and classic.

Re: $100/chip

I bought 1,200+ of these just over a year ago at $1.30/chip (the 10 $5,000 chips were more). I have 450 green/pink, 450 black/lavender and 300 orange/blue, all RD. They are great chips.

Re: $100/chip

That is a totally outrageous price for 15 chips. More kudos if he sells them though, especially since I have a set of 600 of those bad boys.

His auction is not quite right. Omaha Matt wasn't the original re-seller, it was Mike Spinetti, who I bought mine from. I originally bought 500 chips (I actually saw all the boxes on shelves in the warehouse and picked out my own chips), then added another 100 via phone. When I wanted to up add another 300 to round out to 1000, I found out Spinetti sold his remaining inventory to Omaha Matt the week before!! I almost bought another 300, but I think he wanted $1.50 a chip, which was too much for me so I decided that 600 was plenty. Since I bought my Pharoah's, my Palmas are officially "retired" for now.

Thumbs up Re: $100/chip

Hi all, glad you are all finally talking about these wonderful Palmas chips I have listed for that outrageous price. All of us who own the Palmas chips can now come out of the closet and show off these beauties to our buddies. Paulson is not the only one who made good chips and when a fantasy chip sells for more than a Palmas chip, well that is a tragedy. And I just increased the value of all those Palmas chips for those who own them becasue people are now talking about them. BTW, I wish ebay had higher resolution so the quality of the photographs would show up better as these pics are really quite stunning.

Re: $100/chip

I got a little over 1,900 of those bad boys awhile back from Spinettis for .95/chip.

That includes 120 of the $5000 chips.

Thanks to Fminus aka Paulsonchips, Acepokerchips (Philip Lin) for the heads up on those.

Bear
