Anyone have this case?

Im looking to get one of these and am wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with it.

I'd have to agree, that's a nice looking case. Much better looking than any other "birdcage" style case I've seen.

Yeah,
I've got one of those w/ 1000 Pharaohs in it.
It is a very nice looking case. It works a bit differently than the normal birdcage. For this case, you set the racks on the base/handle as usual, but then you lower the base into the box. The base is pinned to the box with those little wooden pegs. Then there's a separate plexiglass top that makes the top of the box.
Offhand, I don't see any advantage to this system. I wouldn't recommend this for transportation, since those little pegs could easily slide out (and get lost).

But the case looks and feels great. It's a great way to store and display your chips. And the price is definitely right.

I really only have one minor complaint with mine so far. I bought the racks along with the case. The racks are a bit big for Paulsons. With new paulsons, you can just fit 20 chips, but they're a bit loose. This means the chips wobble sideways enough that it's not easy to lower another rack over the top of them. As the Paulsons get a bit broken in, you can actually fit a 21st chip in there tightly.
So make sure you get the right racks to fit your chips tightly. I actually have a bunch of Chipco racks --- I'll see if they're a better fit for the Paulsons.

They also have them in black which is what I have. a nice case and the price is right.

The auction is a pretty good deal. I orderd the same thing from them a few days back- but did not get the racks for free.

Your 'minor' complaint is enough to drive an anal retentive dude like myself through the roof. Nothing worse than loose chip racks. Thanks for the heads up. This is exactly why I post these questions on this board....I get all the fine details before I buy.
Not sure if I like how the cage it self operates. My current acrylic cage works with the box sliding over the racks, which seems to be efficient.
Ill probably end up ordering one of these, and sacrifice some functionality for asthetic appeal.
