At least this guy didn't misrepresent what he was selling by explaining how it was "rare," "official," or "genuine." The description was not exactly enlightening, but not full of crap either.

Yeah, I was impressed with that at least. Can't say the seller was dishonest.

Oh wow! I've got one of those $5K chips, Dennis sent it to me as a sample. And the edge spots on it are a lot cleaner and more uniform. Maybe I ought to put it up as "genuine" ... it is a genuine chip after all ...

Why not! You may be able to get 10 bucks and another 2+ for shipping and handling.

I've got a problem that prevents me from scamming stuff on eBay like that ... morals.

Re: Wow, there really is one born every minute!

The buyer mentioned in post #1, tvaughan3069, apparently has a huge bankroll, and he's on a spending spree...

He recently paid $380 for ONE $500 Vineyard chip.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

And if you look at his recent eBay purchases, he has been scooping up a large number of Paulson chipsets at a full clip.

He, apparently, is ready and willing to pay TOP DOLLAR for chips, whether good or bad.

I say, "More power to him!"
Buyers like him will increase the value of older Paulson chips...

Or he might make the chips unaffordable for those folks without huge bankrolls.

Re: Wow, there really is one born every minute!

He has been buying up everything in sight on ebay that is anything above a chinese chip. Paulsons, chipcos, everything. The patterns don't make sense to me though, he buys real retired casino chips for hundreds, and fantasy chipco reproductions of the vineyard chips. He's all over the place. I wonder if he's reselling them in a retail store or something? Maybe Ace can clue us in, he's bought a bunch of stuff from him.

Re: Wow, there really is one born every minute!

You're right, he's all over the place. I'd doubt that a reseller would be paying above market prices for stuff that he won't be able to resell at a profit in retail. Either he's got money to burn or maybe he's gotten a credit card number that won't be missed for a while . It seems that he Looks like Ramses was able to jump on the bandwagon got a few bucks for his troubles. Loosk like there were 4 purchases from Ten last week.
