Actually, they look kind of cool. I just hope they don't rip the cloth when they get dragged across the poker table

Sorta cool actually. I think the rivets take away from the look, might be better if it were smooth finished.

I think clear = uncolored, i.e.- silver

That's what I figure too, but all I could think of when I read it was "transparent aluminum"...
