yeah it seems a little crazy to pay around $6 a chip. Ok maybe a lot crazy.
Im a big fan of those chips (especially the scalloped inlayed ones) but c'mon already.

Those are cool. I didn't know Paulson made JB's previous to the 2005 version. I thought it was Blue Chip that made them previously.
If they are as rare as they seem, it might be a good price....???
No, Paulson was the original maker and BC made JB's later. Not a good price either, you can still find the original Paulson JB's out there for under $2 a chip.
That is way too much! SOmething seems fishy to me. RaiderJoe sells lots of 20 of those old Paulson JB's all the time and they never go for more than around $65. Even at $3 per chip they are too much for me, but over $6 is absolutely ridiculous. I think I'm going to check out the bidding on those to see if there was any suspicious activity. The problem is that you see the same names bidding on these all the time, so it would be hard to tell if it is innocent or not.

1) they're not that rare (although the 50¢ chips can be hard to find), and that is a very high price to pay for those (might as well just get some dunes chips)
2) here are some examples of jb versions made by paulson prior to the 2005 jb's (from www.ccgtcc.com):
