The responce...
Hello Collin,
Thank you for your email.
I understand that a bad run on the tables can be frustrating.
As a poker player, I've experienced sessions where I received nothing but horrible cards, bad beats, and suck outs. I've also read stories on blogs and poker forums about top level players and pros that have had consecutive sessions with no success. These players all ask the same question during these periods, "Am I a victim of lousy luck or am I playing poorly?"
Losing is part of poker and even serious players, including the world's best, go through losing streaks that can last for weeks or even months. The downswing often starts with an unlucky run of cards that eat away at the bankroll, and these runs are often lengthened by a player?s play.
Professional and serious poker players understand that the key to success isn't how they play during the times when they're running hot, but how they play when they're running cold.
If you don't already, I recommend assessing your play by saving your hand histories. When a session is over and your head is clear, review your actions and see if you can spot problems in your game. Ask players you know and trust to review your hand histories and give honest feedback on your play.
You can also find extensive poker information online which can give you additional insight into your game. I suggest trying one of the many commercially available hand history database and analysis tools, which can be used to analyze your play and the play of your opponents.
Lastly, unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request to flip your 'doomswitch' as it's purely fictional. Rest assured, any switch we could possibly throw would simply turn our office lights on and off.
If you need any further help, please let us know, and best of luck on the tables.
Regards,
Kurt

i don't know...the only paragraph that doesn't reek of auto-response is the last paragraph (lol @ doomswitch btw...). while it doesn't look like the typical bot response, it sounds very generic and template-like. jmho.

As a 12 year software engineer I can firmly tell you that the majority of support staff in any software company will just give you the template...sans addendum. Thanks for posting this thread! |
