Seconding what DiceCaller said, I frequently run a T5000 tourney (essentially a S&G) with anywhere from 5 (the fewest) to 8 (the most here recently). I use the 12-12-7 setup and it works out great. I do have to encourage the big stack to not be afraid of using the T100s if they have a bunch of them, but it really is a rare problem.
I have T1000s for color ups in the latter stages, and just recently here, enough of them to run a T10k if I really want to (12-12-7-5).
As a note, if we only get four, we'll do a small heads-up tourney (sometimes round robin and sometimes double elimination). That, or break out into a cash game. Depends on how people feel. |
