I'm one of the lucky ones. My wife loves to play poker, is a member of my (and a friend's) poker league, has her own monthly game and likes to go to casinos.
She likes using good chips and cards. Her favorite set of chips are my Kokopelli's. I even bought her a set of the cash Kokos, to go along with the originals, last year for her birthday and she loved it.
I don't know if it's a good thing or not but although she loves going to the Casino as much as I do, at first all she really wanted to do is play slots and would want me or at least someone she knew well to go with her. Now she plays Poker, Blackjack, Craps just as much and doesn't give a second thought about going without me

. She recently went to visit her Mother and took her and the ex-sister in-law to an Indian casino in the area. They had fun playing slots but she said she was disappointed she wasn't able to play poker or BJ. Since her mom had never stepped foot in a casino before, she didn't feel right about leaving them alone while she played.
I don't think she quite "gets" Chiptalk but understands, is supportive and wants to join to learn more and also to be eligible to attend future CT meet-ups and such.
Some say I've created a monster and wonder why I would want to have "let her in" on "my thing" but I'm glad we have this stuff in common. We have a lot of fun.
