In April 2007, Dr. Lecterr drew the defending champ mrticsay in the 1st round of the Atlanta meetup. The Dr won that match after being AI bad twice and catching the cards he needed. He proceeded to defeat three others (including jojo and ddollevoet, on his way to the title.
In April 2008 at the Texas meetup, Dr. Lecterr and mrticsay found themselves facing each other in the 1st round again. mrticsay won that match with the deck hitting him the whole way.
So the Dr and mrt had a rubber match at the Texas meetup. At stake was some cash, the Darien/Ticsay HU Travelling Trophy and trash talking rights. The turning point was mrt's AK besting the Dr's QQ and mrticsay went on to win.
