| Re: Poker Table Preferences I prefer no rail and definitely no cupholders, so my tastes are pretty basic I
guess. Actually, it's not really taste, but a preference for functionality and such. Even with sunken cupholders, eventualy someone is going to hit their drink with their arm or hand, and at a minimum their beverage will slosh out possibly getting on the table. I keep side tables all around for drinks, and since I have gone non-smoking in my poker room the ash trays are not an issue any longer. As for a racetrack, they are certainly pretty to look at, but I just don't think they are all that functional. I think over time they would even get scratched up a bit possibly? And the hard, flat surface is not easy to shuffle your chips on! I prefer the softness of the padded felt or speed cloth. The table I just had built (finally delivered last week!!!) was made with Cappuchino Whisper vinyl & Standard speed cloth. The suited just has a hard or rough feel to me, and the plain just feels more like a casino table, and the cards just fly on it! I am very happy with the construction of my new table! But my table is nothing like the ones you posted though! (I am waiting for the last pieces of art from Teo Alfonso and I will post the pr0n for my remodeled room!)
