Ya, PartyPoker SnGs are very juicy... just have to get used to the suck-outs, I guess. I have a +ROI at the SnGs, but I guess I always feel more comfortable with cash games. I can multi-table the 6-max, picking among the loosest/worst tables. On top of the stats in the lobby, I just watch them for a few orbits before joining the wait list and/or sitting down, and only sitting if my table position is favourable. And if I play 3 or 4 tables for 2 hours, I'm almost always up on all of them (occasionally down a little on 1; down on 2 tables on a bad day, but always leave with a net profit), so I always feel like a winner...
Whereas the SnGs... Played 3 last night. Finished 5th, 5th, and 1st. Feel like I deserved to do better, given the quality of play. But in the end, net profit was $25 - $18 = $7, which isn't that bad, really. Of course, given the time invested, I could have won about $100 at the cash tables.
Actually, I
was playing a couple cash tables during the SnGs... and did win about $100 over that time period...
