Why I don't play SnGs (PartyPoker stories)

Well, I haven't played online in quite a while. Couldn't sleep tonight, so gave it a go. Started off three-tabling the usual 10¢/25¢ NLHE (i.e. NL25). Was slaughtering it, and generally getting bored. By the way, see post #2 for me spanking a LAG donk with the hammer.

Anyway, decided to give the $6 SnGs another go. First one had 3 players out after 4 hands.
Yep, they're pretty loose at PP. I finished 5th in the first one. Didn't play stellar; made my usual mistakes (biggest hole in my game is trying to limp with small pairs, only to have somebody min-raise, I call, then somebody min-raises behind, I call, miss the flop, lose a few bets). Anyway, was doing alright in the 2nd one... until a donk decided to go crazy and push/call with KXo... only to catch a straight with his "X"... twice in a row!! Here are the back-to-back hands that took me from 2nd to sidelines:

iNano78 finished in 5 place.

Now, they weren't the worst beats in history, but definitely were suck-outs all around. Who calls an all-in with K8o against a guy who just showed AKs? I don't care if he thought I could be pushing with anything from the short-stack...

Anyway, I got my "revenge" in the next SnG. Took it down handily. And this time, my AK hands held up. Here are back-to-back hands from that one:

Was pretty easy from here on in -- although the heads-up battle went back and forth, with each of us sucking-out at least once to stay alive; highlight was when my beat his when I caught the flush on the river... guess I can suck-out too!
