| Re: Home game Win and run. At our weekly very social home game we used to have one of "these people" as you describe.
His name was Doug. Doug was a friend of a friend.
Dougs nickname was a word that also starts with the letters Dou***.
Doug was talked to (by me) several times, not only for his "hit and run" playing, (there were times he would double up in the first hour, and cash in and leave) but also for his "in your face" post hand behavior. He would often win a pot, jump from his chair, point at the loser and say things like, "I put you on that hand, I'm the best player at this table!"
Doug doesn't play with us anymore.
And the friend that originally invited him still apologizes to this day for having ever brought him over. Even though Doug was actually an above average poker player, our games are a lot more fun without him.
There is no posted "rule" against his antics, but it's my house, and I simply didn't enjoy the big bag of drama he always brought to the table. |
