I've just been buying chips for a couple months now so the whole thing is still very mysterious to me. I'm still at the point where I haven't settled on which chips I'll be keeping long-term, so I am in the position of having bought chips that I am already planning on selling.

What's up with falling/fluctuating prices on various sets, e.g Caesar's at Sea and Jack Niemann's? What about PNYs and Vineyards? What were prices like when these chips first came out? There's been a rack of Vineyard $1s for BIN $160 on ebay for while, which seems like a great price, but nobody's biting. Same for a set of Wyndham OSJs, which have been around for weeks at about $1/chip.

I'm not looking to treat chips as an investment or to make money off them, but I would like to get a better sense of how the market works. I think gamblers are looking to get their money in when they are ahead, and I haven't figured out when that is with chips.
