Has the actual recipe of the chips changed over the years?

Jim Blanchard: No, there have only been minor changes to the formula. The basic formula has been unchanged, since...well, as far has I can document, it's been unchanged since the 1940's, right after the war. I'm not sure what they did before that, since I have no documentation of formulation. Certainly, it hasn't changed since the 1940's...early 1950's.

These chips were made at a time when ASM used a higher content of clay and a heavier amount of brass flecking within the casino chips they produced.
