I have used Oxy Clean on various Paulson chips, but never on the Giant inlay chips like those. Those have very little clay showing and much larger inlays. I don't think it would be a problem but I would test first before throwing in 100 of them.

Re: oxi clean

do NOT clean any hotstamped Paulsons with Oxi Clean. Just tested on 5 or so of them and it is quickly eating away the hotstamp. Sure does clean the chip but rips up your hotstamp. Not sure if it was the Oxi or the toothbrush I was scrubbing with or a combination of the two. Anyway, stay clear of oxi with your hotstamps.

Re: oxi clean

I don't use Oxi Clean (preferring Pipeshield), but do know that brushing hotstamps is to be avoided. In my experience, you should protect the hotstamp with thumb and brush around.

Re: oxi clean

I just tried some Oxi Clean on a bunch of chips and it works great! It seemed to dry them out a little, so hit them with mineral oil afterwords and they look awesome.

Re: oxi clean

i have to agree with jim, it also puts a protective coating on the chips, it doesn't dry out any. i used it and it was worth every penny.

Sorry for the threadjack, but does Diamond Chip Cleaner help cut down on the color transfer common to the softer Paulson chips?

Thanks, how about for hotstamped initials/denoms? Any adverse effects to the foil?
