I was on the rail for a few of your hands this morning. Saw you win a few decent pots an lose one when the person hit a set of nines against you. |
yeah that guy was a total maniac. I put in too much action against him on the turn, but he has capped me on the turn before with A6 on a 6443 board when I had pkt 99.
I usually sit down with 500 at 5/10, 800 at 8/16, 1000 at 10/20, .
Typically I sit with 50BB at whatever level I play. That way I don't really have to pay attention to my stack size and worry about reloading if I am playing 3-4 tables. also I think it is tougher for players to figure out if I am winning or losing, which helps as the really aggressive players often take shots at you if they think you are losing.
I used to play shortstacks often when I played NL, but that was before I improved my game some. Now I always buy in for the maximum. If you want to see me play really crazy try to catch me sitting at a weak 1/2NL table where i'll probably be playing 40% of my hands and raising about 30-35% pf. I'm working on playing as loose aggressive as possible, and so far the shift in my strategy is really paying off.
