so after watching some instructional videos from some high stakes pros, and doing little practice, I took a shot at playing super-LAG at the 1/2 NL tables at FTP.
I had a small win, mostly because I misplayed two hands horribly. But by the end I was starting to get the hang of it. The result of course, is you end up playing hands like this against guys that a) play horribly and b) assume you are as well.
i 4-bet resqueezed preflop because I figured the SB could only call with a huge hand since he had just sat down and didnt know that I was playing 42/39 (vpip/pfr) and because I knew that I was waaay ahead of BB range (he was playing 65% of his hands). I also knew that BB thought I had total crap because I had won a hand against him earlier when I reraisd a TAG preflop with J8o, and he called $24 pf with A6o and then I flopped a pair and we checked it down and he lost a $60 pot with A high.
so when he 5-bet shoves I know that he likely has crap, and I'm getting 4-1 to call. Obviously super easy call.
here's the hand with the results at end:
