My point is that this is not happening to every order. It's seemingly random, and if that's true then just get replacements, or use the extras given to you (free of charge). $1.45 is a lot per chip - I understand that - but this is a small problem that can be easily fixed.
As far as other chips being hand made, they've all got their share of problems, so don't make it sound like they're perfect, because they're certainly not (BCC - horribly misshapen inlays, Paulson - warping).
What did you do with yours when they were that bad?
