I only had this problem with my Purple chips. They seem to have the most variance. In fact a stack of 20 didn't fit into a rack unless a "thick" chip was swapped out for a "thinner" chip.
All the others were fine. I guess I never paid that much attention to it. We never make towers or stacks on top of stacks so it's not really an issue.
