| Re: Importance of Denominations I have both no denom and denom. I like both equally, but I'm keeping my non-denom sets forever. In 10-20 years I figure I won't be playing the same stakes (cash games) due to inflation or other reasons.
Non denom also offer more flexibility. As others have said, a big factor could be if you have a regular group, I do, so everyone knows the values of each chip, and for tourneys I use standard colours for 5,25,100 etc.
There are arguments for and against. Depends if you play cash, tourney, or both. If you have a regular group. If you change limits, or play with different groups. And if you plan on keeping the chips for decades. |
