If you dont have a tiurnament set you can make them 5, 25, 100 without a $ sign, in a cash game you may use them as 5c 25c 100c and then they are also nice tournament chips. If you already own a tournament set, forget the idea.

BigMike´s idea is quite good IMO...taking the 5c as a non-denominated you will be prepared for games with higher stakes also.
