As you may have noticed, my acitivity and promptness in responding to pms has dwindled as of late. Although I am still finding weekend time for your projects, I do feel that I owe you all an apology and an explanation, as I assure you that my devotion to this community is still strong.
My girlfriend has been going through some rough times, and I have had to use my free time to be there and care for her recently. She has always had several physical complications that we are both aware of, such as low blood pressure, which causes her to faint, lose her vision, and get bad headaches on a daily basis. She is a real trooper, however, and toughs it out through these daily problems without ever complaining, which I admire.
Recently, though, she was diagnosed with a severe anxiety disorder, on top of all these other complications. She finds herself unbareably uncomfortable in the most normal of daily situations. We are attributing this to the fact that her best friend moved away last month. Thus, I have had to be there to keep her comfortable and well. This is probably just a rough patch and things should settle down by winter time when the heat is not hindering her functionality, but until then my free time will be limited to weekends. So if you have any projects or design requests, I am fully able to work on them for you, but you may have to be patient and bare with me.
This is just a heads up, and my apologies in advance to anyone that I have neglected. Any well-wishing for her sake would be greatly appreciated. Thanks CT,
Randy

My thoughts and prayers are with your GF. I hope she rebounds from these troubles soon. Kudos to your for supporting her. I know how difficult that is in a situation such as this.

Randy,
Props to you for keeping your priorities straight. It's tough when someone you care about goes through things that are out of your control. Hang in there and rest assured that lots of people here are sending out prayers and good vibes your way for you and your girlfriend. I hope everything works out for the best!!

I hope everything works out for the best!! | Your point is very true. I hate to sound selfish, but her conditions can be hard on me as well (in a different way, of course). What I mean is that all I want to do is help her and make her feel better, and do anything and everything for her, as she means a lot to me, but it is frustrating when sometimes there is nothing I can do. There are no medications I can get for her either, as they would thin her blood even further. It's tough to see her deal with it while I have no idea what it's really even like. I wish I could share the burden or make some perfect antidote, but that's not the reality of it. What saddens me is that sometimes I know that she feels like burden to me and I just joke and say "you won't get rid of me that easily". But I know she appreciates me and I also know that not many guys would stick around through this, so things balance out. The joy that she experiences on the good days shows how much we all take for granted and makes our time together so special. I took her to see Phantom of the Opera here at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and although she didn't feel 100%, she was the happiest camper there.
I'm not trying to get too personal here, I just don't talk about this with many people. Thanks for your optimism!

Randy,
I have had some experiences with a similar situation in my life... I'll be saying some prayers for both of you. Keep focused on the people in your life. They are most important. I really hope everyone involved in projects with you shows understanding because the projects are can always wait in times like these. Keep well and stay strong...
