| Re: What side pots do you run at your home game? Yeah, we have prop bets, but no side bets that everyone plays. There are separate side bets that people make all the time though. My buddy and I coin flip the flop all the time, black or red, for $1 per hand, but nothing that everyone will do.
Our prop bets are 2 cards, plus a jack, plus the hammer. Pick 2 cards. If the board pairs those cars, win a quarter.(.25/.50 game, adjust accordingly) If the board pairs both your cards it's 2x. If all 4 of one card hit it's 4x. Jack pays 1x. If your pair and your jack hits, its 2x. If you hit both pairs and your jack, it's 20x. We don't have a rule for 4 of a kind plus your jack, which now that I think of it, I'll have to come up with one. There are 4 of us that play these every week. With the hammer, just about everyone is in on that. Play 7,2 and win it at showdown, and win $2 from each player. |
