Re: how would you play this hand

I think he's asking about how he played the turn. He was behind on the turn with trip Ks to fullboat, but caught a 7 outer on the river to win the pot.

The flop bet is pretty bad. If you get called you are in a world of trouble, and you have a pretty weak hand considering how bad your kicker is. Check the flop and see what opponents do. If you have reads you can c/r a late position steal, or likely fold to a bet by a solid player. This is not a hand you want to put a lot of action in with since if you get played with at all you are probably way behind.

So the flop bet probably should have been a check. And then of course you think you have a really big hand with the K comes on the turn, but if the player is question is solid you are probably still behind his range. I would likely just check the turn since a bet is only going to fold out all of the hands I am ahead of (pkt pairs and 9s) and get me raised when I am behind (boat with pkt 9s 3s or a better K).

I think you overplayed the hand on the turn. His most likely hand is a K with a better kicker. I would have slowed down to his turn c/r and likely either gotten to SD as cheap as possible, or if this guy was a really tight solid player I would seriously consider mucking. so I think a check and call a reasonable bet is in order on the turn.

Obviously if you hadn't gotten all-in before the river you can get it in then since you have a boat.

against a lot of players you would be trying to hit a 3 outer on the river or have 4 outs to chop if they are playing the better K, and most good players aren't going to be bluffing this turn.

cliff notes: don't bet the flop and see what your opponents do. You can make a case for c/r'ing stealers on the flop or just folding if a solid player leads at the pot and it gets back to you for a decent amount. As played probably check-call a small bet on the turn or fold to a large bet. If you make it to the river you can get it in once you hit the boat.
