I hate this type of Jamie-Gold-type garbage table-talk. This particular type of talk should be disallowed. While Robert's Rules of Poker for Home Games is not perfect, it
is pretty good. In Section 1, under the heading Poker Etiquette:
"
The following actions are improper, and grounds for warning, suspending, or barring a violator:
...Making statements or taking action that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the offender is involved in the pot...
If you want to use this rule, announce that you are using Robert's Rules of Poker for home games as your standard set of rules, and have a copy ready when this guy tries to do this again. Warn him the first time (away from the other players if you can), then get harsher.
